The NSW Women in Turf Event provides an opportunity for talented ladies of our industry to share stories and information that supports them in their work in the turf industry. The event encourages collaboration, education and fun.

At Turf NSW we support everyone who works in our industry, but this event is targeted specifically to bring together the women of turf production and the recognise the vital role they play in keeping our industry strong.

Presentations

Amanda Smyth

Amanda, along with her husband Dean, are the owners of Wild Horse Turf in Queensland and Amanda is on the Turf Queensland Board in the role of President. Outside the turf world, she is a passionate fundraiser for the Endeavour Foundation through the Kenny’s Angels Rally Team, helping raise awareness and support for people with intellectual disabilities. Recently you may have also seen Amanda on the news advocating for women's support of perimenopause. We look forward to learning more about Amanda, her turf story and goals for our industry.

Patrick Fry, Greenfields Consulting

Patrick has recently completed an exciting turf levy funded project on Usage, Attitudes and Contribution of Natural Turf. This project provides insights into consumers attitudes towards natural turf as well as the amazing value turf contributes to Australia. Patrick will share some of those insights which will assist in planning marketing and promotion of turf as well as future projects.

Turf Industry Structure

There are a lot of working parts that make up the turf industry. From different associations, levy management and projects. This session will unravel the confusion, so you know how your membership and levy fees are managed and how your industry is being supported. It will also be a chance to contribute ideas and directions for the industry moving forward.

Work Life Balance

Today's event will allow you to sit back and relax and take some time for yourself. We will share ideas on how to juggle the craziness of our days and why the work life balance is so important to keep you functioning at your best.

Fun and Connection

The Women in Turf event is not only about learning but designed to be fun and provide opportunities to connect with other colleagues. We hope you leave the event knowing new people, feeling inspired and had a great time.
